Nollywood actress Rita Dominic has been honoured for patronising made in Nigeria products.

The actress who wore a pair of yellow heels designed in Nigeria to a branch of Access bank in Lagos today received praises from a male banker named Amaechi Ikobi.

A vibrant entertainment industry is one I’m particularly proud of. Music, Film, Art… wait, can art be considered entertainment? I don’t know, but I love Nigerian art, and it brings me joy. So it counts.

Anyway, back to Rita. She is one of many shining stars of Nollywood – Nigeria’s film industry. Think about what Hollywood is for America and you begin to get my drift. It is such an incredible industry that when Mark Zuckerberg come over to Nigeria he made it a point to meet with a group of Nollywood players (actors, producers, directors, etc). Of course, Google will give you a lot more information about Nollywood and the side of Nigeria that you may not hear about at cocktail parties or the news.
